ABOUT
London James (b. 1991, Chicago, Illinois; raised in Southern California) is a ceramic artist and creator of Porcelain SneakerHead (PSH), where contemporary sneaker culture meets fine art through slip-cast ceramic sculptures. Her work explores identity, craftsmanship, and storytelling by reimagining iconic footwear as collectible ceramic sculptures.
Rooted in both ceramic traditions and contemporary footwear culture, James invites viewers to see sneakers not only as products of design, but as symbols of personal history, culture, and artistic expression. Beyond the studio, she is committed to community engagement, inspiring youth across South Los Angeles through curated ceramic workshops that foster creativity, craftsmanship, and self-expression.
